About Syracuse University

The University neighborhood, which lies directly east of Syracuse University, is predominantly a residential neighborhood made up of mid-scale early-20th century homes. These properties range from one to three families, predominantly. Primarily, the residents of this area include students in off-campus housing, as well as University staff and faculty members. This neighborhood is also the home of Barry Park, which is a large green space in the southern end of the community. It contains a playground, tennis and basketball courts, a baseball field, soccer field, and open spaces/fields for many other activities.
